Synopsis
A quiet Irish village in the 1950s: a father and son face the pull of emigration and the shadow of war.
Andrew Scott, in one of his first screen appearances, plays Private Egan, a small but telling role that foreshadows the emotional precision of his later work.
Notes
Scott was only 18 when Korea premiered at the Cork Film Festival, marking his film debut.
The film won the Best Short Feature Award at the festival and remains one of the first on-screen records of his career, understated but unmistakably anchored in authenticity.
